Rates & Collection Contract

                                                                                                     REFUSE CONTRACT AWARDED

Effective July 1, 2025, a new three (3) year contract continued with Penn Waste for trash & recycling collection. Republic Services & ESC Management Services also submitted bids, but they were higher than Penn Waste and the current rates.

The 96-gallon trash cart service will continue with the annual rates at $323.28 for year 1, $332.98 for year 2, and $342.97 for year 3. The previous contract annual rate was $390.36.

The pay-per-bag service (26 bags per year) was replaced by a 32-gallon cart service. Unlike the pay-per-bag service, the new cart service allows weekly trash collection and one large bulk item per week. The annual rates for the 32-gallon cart service will be $$303.60 for year 1, $312.71 for year 2, and $322.09 for year 3. The current rate for the pay-per-bag service is $285.96. While this service is a slight increase it more than doubles the amount of trash & bulk items that can placed at the curb for collection.
