RECYCLING
Acceptable glass:
- All colors
- Food and beverage bottles and jars only. Rinse
the containers clean. Remove caps or lids
and throw them into regular trash.
- You can leave the labels on. Please do not break the glass.
Not acceptable:
- Window glass
- Drinking glasses
- Dishes
- Light
bulbs.
Acceptable cans:
- Aluminum
- Steel
- Bi-metal
- Aerosol
Please do not crush cans. You can leave the labels on.
Not acceptable:
- Foil
- TV trays
- Pie plates
- Siding
- Scrap metal.
Acceptable plastic bottles: All 
(No other numbered
plastics may be recycled.)
Plastic containers may be crushed to allow for more room in your
recycle bin and to help
prevent them from being blown from the bin.
- Bottles only
- Clear and
green soda bottles
- Clear milk
- Water and cider jugs
- Ccolored laundry detergent bottles
- You can leave
the labels on.
Not acceptable:
- Plastic food tubs
- Baby wipe tubs
- Salad/deli
containers.
Acceptable newsprint/newspaper:
- Newspapers
- Glossy inserts
- Magazines
- Junk mail.
Please tie or otherwise bundle them or place in paper shopping
bags and
place in your recycling bin.
Not acceptable:
- Plastic bags
- Cardboard
- Pizza boxes
- Cereal boxes.
- Newspapers placed in plastic bags will not be picked
up.
Sharp objects, such as needles, should be put in sealed containers
(e.g., plastic bottles)
and put in your regular trash container or bag.
BULKY COLLECTION
WHAT
The collection of bulky items includes items that are too large
to be placed with normal household trash items, such as
-appliances,
-carpet 48: maximum length, rolled and tied,
-furniture,
-mattresses & box springs,
-car tires (must be off the rim)
-tree branches and brush--48" maximum length,
tied and bundled,
-scrap metal 48" maximum length.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
-paints, stains, chemicals and liquids,
-batteries or automobile parts,
-household hazardous waste,
-tires on rims,
-commercial/industrial waste,
-construction material or debris such as
drywall, brick, block, treated lumber,
roofing shingles, ceiling tiles, concrete,
doors or windows.
