On May 2, 2001, the York County Planning Commission awarded the township and the other participants in the Official Comprehensive Plan Southern York County Region a lovely plaque (pictured below). This planning award honors the first multi-municipal comprehensive plan in York County and one of the first in Pennsylvania.

The Southern York County Regional Planning Commission conceived and carried out the plan under the astute guidance of Harry Roth of Gehringer-Roth Associates.
